Ian Prior
Ian Prior has over 55 years of experience in the accountancy profession. He joined his father’s firm in 1953 and was principal for many years after his father’s retirement. Ian is a Fellow of the Association of Authorised Public Accountants (FAPA), a regulatory body which is administered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Ian has a particular interest in farming clients, and substantial experience of all matters relating to owner managed businesses. Ian maintains a lifelong interest in taxation, including tax planning for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies and estates.
John Park
John has over 30 years' experience in the profession. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Management Institute (ACMI). John deals with all aspects of accounts, audit and taxation and general business advice. John has extensive experience of managing and handling HM Revenue & Customs taxation enquiries. He has a special interest in the motor trade sector and owner managed businesses, but also in Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and acting as an expert witness for clients in litigation cases. John takes a keen interest in several sports and still plays Rugby Union at local club level on a regular basis. On a voluntary basis, John is a director of a large York based charity providing specialist mental health care.
Alex Prior
Alex has over 20 years experience in the profession. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a Fellow of the Association of Charity Independent Examiners (FCIE). In 2009 he gained a Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Alex deals with a wide range of Limited Companies, Partnerships and Sole Traders. He has a particular interest in the charity sector and acts as Independent Examination for a number of charities and advising charities in relation to the Charities Acts and SORP. He also has substantial experience in advising on VAT matters, particularly in relation to commercial property. Alex has an interest in education and is a governor of two local schools.
Nick Prior
Nick has over 10 years' experience in the profession. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and obtained a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Financial Analysis from Newcastle University. Nick acts for a variety of owner managed businesses, particularly Limited Companies, and has an interest in the motor trade sector and retail/service companies. He advises on Accounts software and IT solutions for clients. Nick is a keen golfer and an enthusiast of many sports, in particular rugby and football.
